This Privacy Policy explains how Circly (“Circly”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services.
Circly is a messenger that allows users to exchange text messages and short video “circles”. By using Circly, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
2. What Information We Collect
2.1 Information Required for Operation
- Email address — used for account registration and login.
- Username — used for identification inside conversations.
2.2 Content Created in Circly
- Text conversations may be stored on Circly servers to deliver messages and synchronize them across your devices.
- Video circles sent in chats may also be stored so they can be delivered to recipients.
2.3 Technical Data
- IP address.
- Connection type, such as Wi-Fi or mobile data, used to optimize video delivery.
2.4 Camera and Microphone
Circly requires access to your device camera and microphone so you can record video circles. Recording begins only after you actively start it. Circly does not perform hidden recording and does not capture audio or video in the background without your action.
2.5 Data Circly Does Not Collect
Circly does not intentionally collect:
- user avatar data as a separate data category;
- detailed usage or action logs;
- precise location data;
- the device contact list.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- operate the Circly messenger;
- deliver text messages and video circles;
- synchronize conversations across devices;
- optimize video loading and delivery based on connection type.
Personal data is not used for advertising, marketing profiling, or sold to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Deletion
Messages and video circles may remain stored on Circly servers while your account is active, so the service can deliver and synchronize content.
You can request account deletion through the Circly app or by emailing oleksandra7544@icloud.com. After an account is deleted, associated messages and videos are removed from the main database within 30 days.
You may also delete individual conversations or videos within the app, subject to the features available in your version of Circly.
5. Transfer of Data to Third Parties
Circly does not sell user data and does not provide it to advertising or analytics networks.
Information may be shared only when necessary with:
- infrastructure and service providers, such as hosting, cloud storage, and push notification providers, solely to operate Circly;
- government authorities when we are legally required to do so;
- parties involved in protecting Circly, its users, or the service from abuse, fraud, or attacks.
6. Your Rights
You may request:
- access to your stored information;
- correction of account or contact information;
- deletion of your account and associated information;
- export of conversations in a readable format.

7. Children
Circly is not intended for children under 13, or under a higher minimum age where required by local law. If Circly becomes aware that a child is using the service without the required parental consent, we may delete the relevant account and associated data.
8. Changes to This Policy
Circly may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app or by email. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
9. Refunds
When Apple receives a refund request for an in-app purchase, Circly may provide Apple with information necessary to evaluate purchase consumption. This may include:
- app usage time;
- an anonymous account identifier;
- total amount spent;
- total amount refunded.
